The music of Orchestra of Sound began with simple musical ideas inspired by travel, nature, and everyday life. Some melodies emerged while walking along the Pacific coast, others during long journeys, flights, or moments of quiet inspiration far from the studio.
Each composition combines field recordings, environmental sounds, and custom-built instruments made from recycled materials. Ocean waves, whale calls, bridges, trains, wind, and countless other sounds were carefully recorded, transformed, and woven into rich musical arrangements.
Using dozens of unique sound sources in every piece, Paul Snider creates immersive compositions that blur the line between music and soundscape. The result is a collection of innovative instrumental works that reveal the hidden rhythm, melody, and beauty found in the world around us.
Every piece tells a story—not only through music, but through the sounds of places, objects, and experiences gathered along the journey.
